Maggie Greenfield (Woodstock, Ontario/Woodstock Collegiate Institute) was a key player in the Gannon University women's volleyball team's PSAC and Atlantic Regional championship season, and on Friday she earned more recognition for her efforts.
The 5-foot-11 redshirt senior middle blocker was named to the PSAC Fall Top 10.

The Top 10 Awards, selected by the PSAC's sports information directors, recognize student-athletes – five women and five men -- who distinguish themselves in the classroom and in competition. The conference designates Top 10 Award winners after each of the sports seasons: fall, winter, and spring. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and must be a starter or key reserve.
Greenfield led the Golden Knights in hitting percentage (.298), total blocks (83), and solo blocks (23) and was a key figure in Gannon's run to 29-6 record and an appearance in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight in Seattle. She ranked third on the team with 326 points and was fourth with 273 kills.
She was especially good in the Atlantic Regional where she had 17 kills in the semifinals against Charleston and 14 kills in the championship match victory over archrival Clarion. She made the regional's all-tournament team as Gannon earned a trip to Seattle.
Greenfield also was named All-PSAC First Team and landed a spot on the American Volleyball Coaches Association's All-Atlantic Region First Team.
In the classroom, the Woodstock, Ontario native is a Pre-Physician Assistant/Biology major who has a 3.956 cumulative GPA. She was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. She is a four-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete and a two-time recipient of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award.
This is the second year in a row that a Gannon volleyball player has made the PSAC Fall Top Ten. Lauren Sampson made the Top 10 for the Fall of 2021.
Gannon soccer player Sergio Del Castillo also was voted to the PSAC Fall Top 10 this year.
