TIFFIN, Oh. – The Gannon University women's wrestling team (ranked No. 10 in the latest NWCA National Dual Meet Poll) earned an unbeaten 4-0 record at Tiffin University's Dragon Duals on Saturday, including three victories over teams ranked ahead of them in that poll.

The Golden Knights began the day with a 33-14 victory over No. 9 Adrian College and added dominant wins over Hiram College (47-1) and No. 7 Schreiner University (42-5.) Gannon finished the day with a 27-19 result over No. 5 Tiffin University to improve the Knights' 2021-2022 dual meet record to a perfect 6-0.

Six Gannon wrestlers went unbeaten throughout all four duals, including No. 8-ranked
Kat Pendergrass (South Hill, Va./South Granville(NC)) at 101 pounds (3-0, one fall),
Caleeann Blarr (Girard, Pa./Girard) at 123 (3-0, tech fall), No. 8
Anya Knappenberger (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) at 130 (4-0, two tech falls), No. 7
Annabelle Helm (Vancouver, Wash./Union) at 170 (4-0, tech fall), and
Amara Devericks (San Clemente, Calif./Corona) at 191 (4-0, two falls.) The Golden Knights combined for 33 victories, eight falls, and seven tech falls throughout the day's competition.

The final dual meet of the day versus the host Tiffin Dragons featured seven nationally-ranked wrestlers in total. No. 8 Kat Pendergass gave the Knights a quick 5-0 lead with a fall in just 2:41 at over Shanna Morris at 101 pounds. At 109,
Julianne Moccia (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll) wrestled tough and took No. 1 Olivia Shore to the limit, ending the bout tied 7-7 but losing by criteria. Gannon rattled off victories in the next three bouts (a fall by
Nikoly Dos Santos (Matthews, N.C./Providence) at 116 pounds, a forfeit to Blarr at 123, and a 6-4 decision for Knappenberger at 130 pounds to extend the team score lead to 19-4.

The Dragons fought back with a trio of wins of their own, a fall by 136-pounder Ariana Carrasquillo, a tech fall by No. 7 Nia Miranda at 143 pounds and a fall by No. 8 Taylor Hites (155 pounds) to shrink Gannon's lead in the team score to a single point, 19-18. The Knights responded with two clutch victories (a 4-1 decision from No. 7 Helm over Taryn Martin and a Devericks fall in just 38 seconds over Morgan Davidson) to close the dual and complete the team's 4-0 day. Devericks now leads the Knights with 11 falls this season.
