Gannon "B" Team Defeats Jamestown CC 23-11

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – The Gannon men's wrestling "B" Team competed at Jamestown Community College on Saturday afternoon, coming away with a 23-11 victory.

Three matches were ruled double forfeits, with Gannon prevailing in five of the remaining seven bouts. Four of those victories were by bonus points, including falls by Nick Coreno (Willoughby, Ohio/Lake Catholic) at 157 lbs. and technical falls by Hayden Butterfield (Erie, Pa./McDowell) at 149 lbs. and Gehrig Hutchison (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) at 197 lbs. Chris Petteys (Hudson Falls, N.Y./Hudson Falls) picked up a major decision in his 125 lb. match.

In addition to the regular match, four exhibition bouts were held. Each team won two of the exhibition matches.

Gannon will host East Stroudsburg on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Hammermill Center. The "B" Team is back in action on Thursday, January 27, hosting Lake Erie.
