- The Short Story: No. 14 Gannon went on the road in blanked Clarion in back-to-back sets on Saturday afternoon to improve to 5-0 on the season.

- "As always, Clarion played us really tough in two matches today," said head coach Matt Darling. "I think the difference today was that we've played a few and this was their first time out. We had a number of solid performances that helped us win, but I'll highlight Ashley, Maggie, Kenzie, Lauren and Kaeli, who were great at times today."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Gannon opened the contest building a 15-11 advantage after Makenna Gavin (Pittsburgh, Pa./Avonworth) connected on kill. The Knights then stretched their lead to 19-14 following a couple attack errors. Gannon went on to take the opening set, 25-19.
- Clarion got off to fast start in the second frame with an 11-6 lead. The Knights quickly rattled off six straight points from there including three kills from Ashley McClung (Charleston, W.Va./George Washington) to regain the lead, 12-11. Both teams then exchanged runs to lock the set, 25-25. Gannon closed the frame on a 5-3 run to win the set, 30-28.
- The Knights began the third set doubling up the Golden Eagles, 8-4, following a kill from McClung. Gannon didn't let off the gas from there stretching the lead to 20-8 after a block by Laura Bebinger (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) and Sophia Glabus (Elmhurst, Ill./York). Gannon went to win the set, 25-19, and the match, 3-0.
GAME NOTES
- As a team, Gannon notched 68 digs, 38 kills and 35 assists.
- Greenfield tallied 10 kills with four blocks.
- McClung also reached double figures in kills with 10 to go along with two blocks.
- Kenzie Lasher (Ford City, Pa./Armstrong) notched a career-high and match-best 30 digs.
- Kaeli Kristensen (Calgary, Alberta/Dr. E.P. Scarlett) passed out a match-high and team-best 17 assists.

How It Happened
- Gannon opened the second match doubling up Clarion, 10-5, after a block by Bebinger and Greenfield. The Golden Eagles responded with eight straight points to grab their first lead of the match, 13-10. The Knights retaliated with a 11-4 run to regain the lead, 21-17, after a block from Sophia Glabus (Elmhurst, Ill./York) and Kristin Schorr (Evansville, Ind./North Posey). Gannon went on to win the frame, 25-22.
- Clarion built a three-point edge in the second set, 9-6, after a kill from Brooke Williams. Gannon responded with six straight points to steal the lead, 12-9, after McClung delivered a kill. The Knights went on to hold off the Golden Eagles to win the stanza, 25-21.
- Similar to the second set, Clarion opened up a 10-6 lead early in the frame. The Knights then answered with four straight points to lock the set, 10-10. Both teams settled in trading points to lock the set once again at 22-22. Gannon then used a Sampson kill and two attack errors to close out the frame, 25-22, and the match, 3-0.
Game Notes
- As a team, Gannon posted 56 digs, 40 kills and 38 assists.
- Sampson contributed a match-high and season-best 18 kills to go along with a .318 hitting percentage. She also added on eight digs on the defensive end.
- McClung tallied a double-double with 14 assists and 10 kills to go along with six digs.
- Kristensen passed out a team-high 17 assists.
- Glabus tallied a career-best six blocks.
- Lasher notched a team-high 18 digs with one kill.
- Schorr rounded out the top performers with season-high 10 digs, three kills and two blocks.
