KEY SEQUENCE
  • Roberts Wesleyan struck early, netting four goals in the first five minutes to set the tone as the Redhawks led the whole way.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Roberts got on the board just over a minute in, then saw a spurt of three goals over a span of 1:25 to push the lead to four. The hosts continued to add to the lead, building it to 11-0 late in the opening half.
  • Skyler Parsons (Reading, Pa./Exeter Twp.) got the Golden Knights on the board late in the period, taking a feed from Macy Hepditch (Waterloo, Ontario/Resurrection Catholic) with just under four minutes to go in the period. The Redhawks managed to score two more to close out the half.
  • Maddie Krock (Granville, Ohio/Granville) got the first score of the second half for the Knights, putting one home at the 23:18 mark. Hepditch added one of her own with a goal with 10 minutes left, and Tufts capped the scoring with an unassisted tally with four minutes to play.

GAME NOTES
  • Tufts's goal in the final minutes extended her streak to 11 consecutive games with a goal, dating back to her freshman year in 2019.
  • It was the first career goals for a pair of freshmen in Parsons and Hepditch.
  • Hepditch filled up the stat sheet, adding an assists, three ground balls, two caused turnovers and four draw controls
 
UP NEXT
  • Gannon will remain on the road for its second PSAC contest of the year, heading to Lock Haven Wednesday.
