ERIE, Pa. — Just under 12 months after its 2020 season came to an abrupt end, the Gannon acrobatics & tumbling team is ready for the 2021 slate, with six duals scheduled for the spring.

The Golden Knights, who are ranked No. 5 in the nation in the NCATA preseason coaches poll, will kick off their schedule next weekend before a fast-paced flurry of meets in late March and early April.

Gannon will head to Frostburg State on March 6 for its first action of the season. The Knights will host the first of their two home meets on March 21, welcoming Fairmont State to the Hammermill Center, and will make it three competitions in a week with trips to West Liberty and Adrian.

A home-and-home series against Quinnipiac closes out the regular season on April 3 and 11.

Half of Gannon's regular season schedule will be against teams ranked in the top seven of the preseason poll, with Quinnipiac coming in at No. 3 and Fairmont State at No. 7.

The dates, plans and location for the 2021 NCATA National Championship event are still in the planning stages and will be announced in the near future.

Currently, no spectators are allowed in attendance at sporting events hosted on the Gannon campus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Access to the facility is limited to participating teams and those workers whose duties are essential to the contest.
