ERIE, Pa. — The Gannon men's soccer team is set to embark on an 11-game spring schedule after waiting more than 14 months.
The Golden Knights opened up its delayed 2020-21 slate last Friday against Division I St. Bonaventure, and will play 10 more games over the next seven weeks.
SPRING 2021 MEN'S SOCCER SCHEDULE
Gannon will be on the road for its first five games, including trips to Ashland and Tiffin for exhibitions, as well as matches against Point Park and Roberts Wesleyan. The Knights will play at McConnell Family Stadium for the first time since the 2019 NCAA round of 16 beginning in late March, with home games against Daemen, Penn State Behrend and Mercyhurst in a span of a week.
Short road trips to Mercyhurst and Behrend open up the month of April, and a final home contest against Roberts Wesleyan closes the season.
The NCAA Division II tournament, as well as PSAC regular season and postseason play, has been canceled for men's soccer in 2020-21.
Currently, no spectators are allowed in attendance at sporting events hosted on the Gannon campus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Access to the facility is limited to participating teams and those workers whose duties are essential to the contest.
