Mikayla Vega (Escalon, Calif./Escalon) got out to a strong start against the nation's No. 7 wrestler in ESU's Tatyana Ortiz, hitting a toss for a four-point move, then countering a pair of Ortiz shots for takedowns of her own and an 8-0 lead. She nearly rolled through for another and the tech fall win, but Ortiz caught her and finished off the fall with just seconds left in the first period.

Mikayla Dockweiler (Corpus Christi, Texas/Richard King) went down early with a four-point move from ESU's Josselinne Campos. Dockweiler fought off a nice single-leg attempt from Campos, and wound up tying it up with a four-point move of her own near the edge with 30 seconds left in the first. A duck-under from Dockweiler early in the second put Campos straight to her back, and she controlled her arms to settle in for the pin in 3:44.

Stephanie Floor (Pago Pago, American Samoa/Leone) was active from the start, getting in on a single and slipping around for the opening takedown. She grabbed another two takedowns, as well as two push outs to get up 8-0, and closed out the tech fall in under two minutes with a takedown to make it 10-0.

Jezebel Garcia (Santa Clara, Calif./Adrian C. Wilcox) fought through a tight front headlock from ESU's Alyssa Marinaccio to secure the opening takedown. A four-point move from Marinaccio midway through the first gave her the lead, but on the restart, Garcia won a tussle to tie it up 4-4, but Marinaccio got the next score, and used a half nelson to turn Garcia and finish off the fall in 2:50.

Annabelle Helm (Vancouver, Wash./Union) hit a high crotch for the first points of the match a minute in, but a push out from ESU's Bri Simsic made it 2-1 at the end of the first. Simsic tried to slow things down, but Helm sprawled and spun around for a takedown in the second, and went on to turn Simsic for two exposure points on the way to an 8-1 decision.

Daniela Morales Dardon (Palmdale, Calif./Highland) was pushing the pace, and was able to counter a shot by ESU's Shola Cascen for the opening takedown with a minute left in the first, but Cascen tied it up in the final moments of the period. Despite plenty of tie-ups and handfighting, neither was able to score for the first two minutes of the second period until Morales Dardon got the go-ahead points with 30 seconds left. Cascen snuck around to tie it up in the final moments though, and won on criteria with the final points scored.
