AROUND THE LEAGUE THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
  1. The Golden Knights enter the week with a 12-11 (11-8 PSAC) overall record. In its most recent contest, Gannon's upset bid of No.6/9 Indiana fell short in the final minutes, 85-83. DeAnte Cisero (Chicago, Ill./Montgomery County (Ky.)) paced the Knights with a team-high 18 points.
  2. Gannon has emerged as one of the best defensive teams in the PSAC this season limiting its opponents 67.7 points per game, which ranks third in the PSAC. The Knights have held their opponents to 60 points or less in seven games this season.
  3. Gannon is positioned third in the PSAC in three point field goal percentage shooting 38.5 percent. Chris Clancy (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Peter's Boys) is shooting a team-best 45.7 percent from three, which ranks first in the PSAC.
FACING CLARION
  • These two teams met earlier this season on Jan. 15. Gannon topped Clarion, 61-53, on the road. Clancy matched a career-high 22 points and connected on four three pointers.
  • This will mark the 56th all-time meeting in a series that dates back to 1948-49. Gannon is 26-3 when facing Clarion at home and has won the last seven meetings at Hammermill Center. The Knights lead the all-time series, 42-13.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES
  • The Golden Eagles begin the week with a 5-20 (4-15 PSAC) overall record and most recently came up short at Pitt-Johnstown, 78-52.
  • Clarion is 2-10 on the road this season.
  • Stevan Rodriguez leads the Golden Eagles netting a team-high 14.4 points per game. He is positioned third in the PSAC in field goal percentage shooting 56.7 percent this season.
