Mikayla Vega (Escalon, Calif./Escalon) got off to a strong start, using a double-leg and a duck under to notch the first two takedowns. An exciting first period continued with Tiffin's Shanna Morris cutting the deficit in half then tying it with two more exposure points. Morris turned that into an 8-5 lead after one, but Vega was able to fight off her back for the final 25 seconds to avoid the pin. In on a single to start the second, Vega completed her shot and finished the comeback with a fall in 3:57.

Caleeann Blarr (Girard, Pa./Girard) and Tiffin's Savannah Stacks traded step-outs early despite action. Another step out when Blarr went for headlock but had to defend a shot gave Stacks the lead, and when action resumed, the Dragon's All-American used underhooks and hip toss to grab the fall in 2:38

There was lots of action early, but Tiffin's Eunique Davis managed to score the only points against
Mikayla Dockweiler (Corpus Christi, Texas/Richard King). Davis, who also earned All-America honors for the Dragons, got the first takedown after a scramble in the middle of the mat, and sealed the deal with another in the final minute on the way to a 6-0 decision.

After a scoreless first period with a couple close calls, Tiffin's Sidney Ramos got in on double leg and got to hips for first points in first minute of second period against
Jezebel Garcia (Santa Clara, Calif./Adrian C. Wilcox). Garcia grabbed a reversal and exposure to go up, but then had to fight off her back for nearly a minute, getting back to her stomach with it tied 4-4. Back in neutral, Ramos got in for the winning takedown with 25 seconds left.

Daniela Morales Dardon (Palmdale, Calif./Highland) fought off the first shot from Tiffin's Taylor Hites, but Hites followed with another, getting Morales Dardon to the mat and eventually turning her for the fall.

In a matchup of two All-Americans from last weekend's WCWA nationals, a big double-leg for McGarity pushed Tiffin's Jessie Lee straight backward for the first takedown. McGarity sprawled out of Lee shot attempt and popped through for another takedown. Lee returned the favor for her first points, but when going for a turn, she got too high, and McGarity got another point for a reversal. McGarity went for another bull rush, but Lee countered for her own takedown, and managed to flip McGarity for the fall in 4:48.
EVENT NOTES
- Gannon managed to only fill six of the 10 weights, giving up three forfeits to help Tiffin build its lead.
- Missing from the lineup were three of Gannon's four recently crowned All-Americans. The Dragons were able to put all five of their All-Americans on the mat Friday.
- The win evened the season series for Tiffin, as the Knights ripped off a 29-13 victory at the Hammermill Center on Dec. 6.
