THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
  1. The Golden Knights enter the week with a 12-9 (11-6 PSAC) overall record and have won their last five games. Most recently, Gannon went on the road and topped Seton Hill, 82-76.
  2. Gannon connected on a season-high 32 free throws, including 23 in the second half in the win over Seton Hill last Saturday. It marked the most free throws in a game since the Knights made 33 at Lock Haven on Feb. 12, 2011.
  3. Matt Johnson (Gary, Ind./Adlai E. Stevenson) is averaging 10.1 points per game. He has hit the 20-point scoring mark in three of his last four games, including matching a career-high 26 points at Seton Hill last Saturday.
STREAKING
  • Gannon is currently on a five-game win streak, which is the longest active win streak in the PSAC. Over that span, the Knights are netting 70.0 points per game in comparison to their opponents' 55.6.  Matt Johnson (Gary, Ind./Adlai E. Stevenson) has paced Gannon with a team-high 18.0 points per game and 21 total assists.
FACING MERCYHURST
  • These two teams met earlier this season on January 18. Gannon fell short in the final seconds after Trystan Pratapas connected on the game-winning three with two seconds remaining to put the game out of reach, 58-55.
  • This will mark the 80th meeting in a series that dates back to 1974-75. Gannon is 29-10 when facing Mercyhurst at home and leads the all-time series, 54-25. 
SCOUTING THE LAKERS
  • The Lakers enter the week with a 14-7 (12-5 PSAC) overall record and are 4-1 in their last five games. Most recently, Mercyhurst rolled past Clarion, 86-44.
  • Mercyhurst is 4-5 in road games this season.
  • Miykah McIntosh paces the Lakers with 13.6 points per game. He has hit the 20-point scoring mark four times this season.
