Men's Soccer to Play at Millersville Wednesday Night

The Golden Knights wrap up a two game road swing with a trip to Millersville for a midweek match, which is their only match this week. Kickoff is set to start at 4 p.m. on Pucillo Field. Gannon is currently ranked No. 11 in national polls and undefeated so far on the year. They are coming off their third straight shutout and have held opponents scoreless for the last 360 minutes. Gannon's most recent win was on the road this weekend at District of Columbia with a 2-0 shutout. Lennox Crews (Offenbach, Germany/Leibnizschule) scored both goals for the Knights with the game winner in the 73rd minute. The all-time series record is tied between the two teams 6-6-0. Millersville tied the series last season with a 2-1 win over Gannon. Alex Lee Yaw (Jamestown, N.Y./Mercyhurst Prep) scored for the Knights in the 47th minute.
 
 
Women's Soccer Returns Home to Play California (Pa.)

The Lady Knights return home after a two game road trip. They will play California (Pa.) for a midweek match on Wednesday with a 6 p.m. kickoff. Gannon is looking to turn things around and even their record before heading into the weekend having suffered three straight losses for the first time since the 2014 season. Indiana (Pa.) took the most recent win over the women with a 1-0 shutout in overtime last weekend. The Knights lead the all-time series 15-12-0 over the Vulcans. Taylor Lewis (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) and Vanessa Coccurello (Hamilton, Ontario/St. Jean de Brebeuf) both scored for Gannon in the 3-1 win over Cal U last season.

Following Wednesday's home match, the Lady Knights will travel to Edinboro for a quick weekend trip. Gannon will play at 5 p.m. on Saturday at the Sox Harrison Stadium. The Fighting Scots have had a strong start to conference play with three straight wins. They will play Mercyhurst Wednesday before heading into Saturday's match. The Knights lead the all-time series 15-8-4 and picked up a 2-1 win over the Scots last season. Hannah Hays (Butler, Pa./Butler) scored the game winner in the 75th minute.

Gannon opens conference play this weekend with a pair of games at the Hammermill. First on the slate is Lock Haven on Friday night, which is set to begin at 7 p.m. The Knights are coming off a dominating weekend after collecting three 3-0 sweeps in the Gannon-Edinboro Tournament. They beat St. Rose in the home opener followed by Walsh and Malone. Ally Smith (Penfield, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) helped Gannon secure their final win over Malone with a career-best five aces in the match. The Knights lead the all-time series 13-1 and look to pick up another win in the series Friday night.

The Lady Knights host conference opponent Bloomsburg for Homecoming this Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Hammermill. Gannon picked up the first win in the all-time series record leading it 1-0. They defeated the Huskies 3-0.

The Golden Knights are back in action this weekend with three games to open conference play. They will be in Washington, Pennsylvania Saturday and Sunday to take on Connecticut College, W&J, and Salem. Gannon beat Salem previously this season 16-10 and will play Connecticut College and W&J for the first time this year. The Knights lead all three all-time series records. They are undefeated against Connecticut College 7-0. Against Salem, the Knights lead 41-7, and they lead 32-14 vs. W&J. Gannon posted an undefeated weekend Sept. 14-15 with four straight wins at the Laker Invitational and look to keep the streak going this weekend in the W&J Round Robin.
