The Short Story: Men's soccer hosted Lock Haven Saturday evening for senior night. The Golden Knights scored twice in the first half and added a third in the second half. Gannon won 3-0 to complete their second straight shutout win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Alex Lee Yaw (Jamestown, N.Y./Mercyhurst Prep) didn't waste any time after kickoff scoring the game winning goal quickly in the 7th minute for Gannon. Abdullah Say (Ruesselsheim, Germany/) took the ball from the far right side of the field to midway before passing the ball to Lee Yaw. Lee Yaw fired from the top left of the box burying the goal in the bottom right of the net. Say with the assist.
- The second Gannon goal came in the 20th minute. Ivan Manfredi (Chiavari, Italy/Liceo Scientifico Marconi Delpino) set up for a free kick about 20 yards out following a Lock Haven foul. Manfredi sent the ball into the box where Sergio Castillo was there to head it into the goal. The Knights would lead 2-0 at the break.
- Tinashe Katsande (Norwich, England/Dereham Sixth Form College) scored his first goal of the year in the 85th minute. Anthony Marafioti (Melbourne, Australia/Penleigh & Essendon) sent the ball into the box on a cross pass to Katsande who was there to head the ball in for Gannon's final goal of the match.

- Castillo led the Knights with four shots in the match, two of which were on goal.
- Katsande added another three shots and two on goal.
- Four other Gannon players would each add a shot in the match.
- Lock Haven had seven players record a shot in the match led by Andrea DiSomma with three. Disomma and Beckham Sibiski each fired off two shots on goal.
- The Knights out-shot the Bald Eagles 15-11.
- Chandler Hallwood (Halifax, England/Woodhouse Grove) made six saves in goal improving to 3-0 in the net. He also recorded his second career shutout.
- Camden Cook made five stops and falls to 1-1 in goal for LHU.
- Prior to kickoff, Gannon honored ten seniors of the 2019 graduating class – Abdullah Say (Ruesselsheim, Germany/), Dexter Abrams (Toronto, Ontario/Jean Vanier Catholic Secondary School), Zeke Morris (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington), Ivan Manfredi (Chiavari, Italy/Liceo Scientifico Marconi Delpino), James Randall (Brampton, Ontario/Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School), Anthony Marafioti (Melbourne, Australia/Penleigh & Essendon), Chad Barrick (Gahanna, Ohio/Gahanna Lincoln), Austin Armstrong (Washington, Pa./Trinity), JT Koch (Delafield, Wis./Kettle Moraine), and Ben Andrews (Saxonburg, Pa./Knoch).
- All ten players saw action in today's match.
- This is the first 3-0 start to the season since 2012 when the Knights opened the year going 9-0.
