Araceli Cruz (Neptune City, N.J./Neptune) picked up a pair of first-period takedowns, then added the first of the second period to build an important 6-1 lead. Tiffin's Jaelyn Fazio made it close late with a four-point throw, but Cruz rolled through for a reversal and the 7-5 decision.

An early passivity warning against Tiffin's Sugey Ceja forced some action, and Ceja got going with a takedown on the way to a 10-0 tech in the first period to get the Dragons their first bout win of the night.

A back-and-forth affair early, Alexandra Alers (Buena Park, Calif./Kennedy) used a front headlock in the final moments of the first period to jump in front 5-4. With no scoring in the first two minutes of the final period, Alers used a throw-by to gain some crucial insurance points on the way to a 7-4 decision.

Tiffin's Natalia Sovero was looking for an inside trip to open the scoring midway through the opening period, but Mikayla Dockweiler (Corpus Christi, Texas/Richard King) countered with a hip toss to put Sovero straight to her back. After improving her position for about 30 seconds, Dockweiler finished off the fall in 2:21.

An early takedown had Stephanie Floor (Pago Pago, American Samoa/Leone) looking at a deficit, but she matched it to even the score by the end of the first. She countered a shot early in the second to move in front, and rolled through for two exposure points and a 6-2 lead. Two more takedowns closed a 10-point run for the sophomore and closed out a 10-2 win.

Tiffin's Taylor Hites built a 4-0 lead early, and bumped it up to 8-0 in the second period, but Annabelle Helm (Vancouver, Wash./Union) pushed to the end, using a hip toss and a single-leg for a pair of takedowns in the second to earn a team point.

Sidney Ramos of Tiffin managed three takedowns, but Daniela Morales Dardon (Palmdale, Calif./Highland) was tough on her feet and didn't let Ramos get close to bonus points.

Amara Devericks (Capistrano Beach, Calif./Corona) put the pressure on from the start, countering a shot and slipping around Tiffin's Jessie Lee for the opening takedown. Devericks got Lee moving backward near the edge of the mat and tossed her for a four-point move later in the period to continue building the lead before closing out a 10-0 tech midway through the second.
 
Exhibitions
Caleeann Blarr (Girard, Pa./Girard) moved fast and furious from the start, rolling through for multiple exposure points on the way to an 11-0 tech in just 1:15. … Gabrielle Malinowski (Waterford, Pa./Fort Leboeuf) won a battle of underhooks vs. overhooks, rolling through a trip attempt by her opponent and sticking her for a fall in 1:04.
 
EVENT NOTES

• Devericks moved to 4-0 on the year in duals, the only Gannon wrestler to reach that mark.
• The Knights doubled their dual meet win total from their inaugural year, with all four coming against NCAA competition.
