THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
  1. Gannon (2-5, 1-2 PSAC) returns to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play with a two-game road swing at Mansfield (2-6, 1-2) and Bloomsburg (5-4, 2-1 PSAC) this week. Gannon has dropped its last three contests and most recently came up short at Division I St. Bonaventure, 75-50, last week.
  2. Gannon will spend the entire month of December on the road, which includes four total contests. The Knights will return to Hammermill Center on Jan. 3 against Edinboro (4-3, 1-2 PSAC).
  3. Gannon has won the rebounding battle in five of its first seven contests this season. The Knights are averaging 34.3 rebounds per contest in comparison to their opponents 31.7. Gannon has a +2.6 rebounding margin this season.
FACING MANSFIELD
  • Gannon has won its last its last six meetings against Mansfield and most recently downed the Mountaineers in overtime last season, 70-62. DeAnte Cisero (Chicago, Ill./Montgomery County (Ky.)) posted a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Victor Olawoye (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont Memorial) also chipped in 11 points for the Knights.
  • This will be the 19th all-time meeting between these two programs dating back to 1960-61. Gannon is 12-6 all-time when facing Mansfield. The Knights are 3-3 in road contests over that span and have not lost at Mansfield since the 1993-94 season.
SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS
  • Mansfield has dropped its last three contests and most recently fell to No. 6 Indiana University of Pennsylvania, 76-63.
  • The Mountaineers have five players averaging at least 10 points per contest.
  • Christian Simmons is averaging a team-high 19.7 points per game and netted a season-high 26 points against St. Augustine's on Nov. 10.
  • Trevor English is contributing a team-best 12.6 rebounds to go along with 19.5 points per game. 
FACING BLOOMSBURG
  • In their most recent meeting last season, Gannon came up short at Bloomsburg, 66-62. Olawoye netted 14 points with five rebounds to lead the Knights. Jonathan Harewood (Baldwin, N.Y./St. Anthony's) also added nine points with five rebounds and four assists.
  • This will mark the 14th all-time meeting between these two programs dating back to 1964-65. Prior to the 2013-14 season, Gannon won the first nine meetings between these two teams from 1964-65 to 2012-13.  The Knights have dropped three of the last four meetings against the Huskies and are 1-3 in road contests. However, Gannon leads the all-time series, 10-3. 
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
  • Bloomsburg has won three of its last four games and most recently fell short at Wilmington, 96-82.
  • Bloomsburg has three players averaging double figures with Justin Anderson setting the pace with 17.6 points per game.
  • Justin Anderson has reached double figures in scoring in eight contests this season, including three 20 point games.
  • Max Wagner is pulling down a team-best 8.9 rebounds to go along with 17.5 points per contest.

  • Gannon returns to action after the holiday break hosting Edinboro. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. at Hammermill Center.
