The Lady Knights are back in action this week as they finish up regular season play. First on the slate is a 7 p.m. match at Clarion this Wednesday. The Knights are coming off a big 1-0 win over cross county rival Edinboro.
Leah Bermudez (Milton, Ontario/Jean Vanier Catholic) scored the game winner and
Kennedy Solymosi (Eastlake, Ohio/Lake Catholic) made six saves in goal helping lead the Knights to a win. Clarion is on a two-game losing streak after being shutout twice last week. Gannon took the early season match-up vs. the Golden Eagles. The Knights lead the all-times series 14-3-2 after a 3-0 win in October.

Gannon closes the regular season at Slippery Rock on Saturday. The Rock have already clinched the top-seed in the PSAC West for postseason play and are riding a two game win streak into the week. The Knights are separated by five points from Mercyhurst in the playoff run. Gannon looks to pick up two wins to stay in the running. SRU beat Gannon 1-0 in the first meeting this season to take a 12-11-1 lead in the all-time series.

The Golden Knights open the last week of regular season play at crosstown rival Mercyhurst. Both team's clinched a playoff berth and are fighting for the top spot on the West. Gannon is coming off a 2-0 week with dominating wins over Pitt-Johnstown and Seton Hill having outscored the two 12-2.
Tinashe Katsande (Norwich, England/Dereham Sixth Form College) scored two vs. UPJ including the game winner in the 3rd minute of play.
Alex Lee Yaw (Jamestown, N.Y./Mercyhurst Prep) scored two at Seton Hill including the game winner in the 41st minute. Both teams are on a win streak heading into Wednesday's match. Gannon has won eight straight while Mercyhurst has won their last three. The Knights took the first meeting of the season 2-0 with goals from Lee Yaw and
Sergio Del Castillo (Madrid, Spain).

Gannon closes the regular season at Slippery Rock Saturday. The Rock split last week's play with a win over California and a loss to Mercyhurst. The Knights took a 2-1 win over SRU in double overtime in the team's first meeting this season. Nathan Kortyna scored in the sixth minute to give the Rock a 1-0 lead. Swimming and Diving Faces First Multi-Team Action At Allegheny Gator Invitational

After three consecutive duals to start the season, the Gannon swimming and diving teams take part in the two-day Gator Invitational just down I-79 at Allegheny College. A tri-meet featuring the Golden Knights, Edinboro and the host Gators, the teams will compete in 20 events. Both the Gannon men and women have won the team title in each of the past two years. The Knights will be competing for the third straight weekend after PSAC duals against Clarion and Bloomsburg the past two weeks. The Gannon men picked up a win over Clarion, but both squads fell against Bloomsburg on Saturday, putting up a combined nine event wins and 25 PSAC times.

Gannon looks to start its defense of the PSAC regular-season title with a trip to the Mount Union Invitational Saturday to begin the 2019-20 season. The Golden Knights, who return four of their five national qualifiers from a year ago, will look to repeat as team champs at the event after topping the eight-team field last season.
George McGuire (Waterford, Pa./Fort LeBoeuf) and
Freddie Nixon (Buffalo, N.Y./St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute) won individual titles to start their year that would finish at the national championships, and 10 other Golden Knights placed in the top six.
