The Short Story: The Lady Knights dropped a conference match-up with Slippery Rock Wednesday night at McConnell Family Stadium. Kayla Swope scored in the 22nd minute to net the game winner as the Rock held on to the lead for the remainder of the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- SRU's Kayla Swope scored in the 22nd minute to give the Rock a 1-0 lead. Gannon's goalkeeper was out from the goal box when Swope beat her with the ball. Swope sent the ball into the bottom left of the net as she beat a Gannon defender.

GAME NOTES
- This was Gannon's first loss to the Rock since the 2016 season.
- Five players fired off multiple shots for the Knights. Megan McCartney (Chicora, Pa./Karns City) took a team-high four shots, two of which were on goal.
- Vanessa Coccurello (Hamilton, Ontario/St. Jean de Brebeuf) and Kayla Bevacqua (Welland, Ontario/Notre Dame) each tallied three shots, while Sarah Fails (Girard, Pa./Villa Maria) and Emily Cekella (Harmony, Pa./Seneca Valley) took two shots.
- Kennedy Solymosi (Eastlake, Ohio/Lake Catholic) made three stops in goal for the Knights, while Emma Yoder made six saves and recorded her fourth shutout of the season.
