The Short Story: Ninety minutes wasn't enough for the Golden Knights as they played to their second double-overtime win Wednesday night. Both teams scored in the first half to tie the game 1-1 through regulation.
Alex Lee Yaw (Jamestown, N.Y./Mercyhurst Prep) sent a cross into the box where
Ivan Manfredi (Chiavari, Italy/Liceo Scientifico Marconi Delpino) was there to head the ball for his first game winner of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Rock jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead early in the first half with a goal from Nathan Kortyna in the 6th minute. Brian McCarthy set up for a corner kick and sent the ball into the box. Kortyna was there to head the ball into the net for SRU's only score of the match.
- Alex Lee Yaw (Jamestown, N.Y./Mercyhurst Prep) tied the match in the 36th minute. He drew a foul to earn a free kick for the Knights 20-yards out from the goal. The ball hit the right post and deflected into the net past the goalkeeper.
- Gannon would win in overtime following a goal in the 103rd minute. Lee Yaw collected the ball off a defensive deflection and sent a cross into the box. Manfredi jumped up and headed the ball past the goalkeeper for Gannon's first conference win of the season.

GAME NOTES
- This was Gannon's second double-overtime win this season and first conference win of the year.
- The Knights haven't lost a match vs. the Rock since the 2015 season and gain another win in the series.
- Lee Yaw took a match-high five shots with three on goal.
- Manfredi, Lennox Crews (Offenbach, Germany/Leibnizschule), Chad Barrick (Gahanna, Ohio/Gahanna Lincoln), Ben Andrews (Saxonburg, Pa./Knoch), Sergio Del Castillo (Madrid, Spain), and Anthony Marafioti (Melbourne, Australia/Penleigh & Essendon) each had one shot in the match.
- Chandler Hallwood (Halifax, England/Woodhouse Grove) made five saves in goal for Gannon, while Matt Hunsberger have four stops.

- Gannon took 11 shots compared to Slippery Rock's eight, but both teams finished with six shots on goal.
