The Short Story: The Golden Knights soared to their ninth win of the season with a 5-1 PSAC win over Pitt-Johnstown Saturday afternoon.
Anthony Marafioti (Melbourne, Australia/Penleigh & Essendon) scored the game winner in the 31st minute, while
Austin Ludwik (Gold Coast, Australia/The Southport School) and
James Randall (Brampton, Ontario/Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School) got their first goals of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Pitt-Johnstown struck first in the 16th minute of play to take a quick 1-0 lead over Gannon. Brady Brown finished on a cross pass sent into the box from Josh Briscoe to score for the Mountain Cats.
- The Knights responded by scoring three unanswered goals to end the first half. Ludwik scored his first goal of the match in the 19th minute. Alex Lee Yaw (Jamestown, N.Y./Mercyhurst Prep) tallied the assist on a throw in. Ludwik connected on the throw to tie the game 1-1.
- Marafioti gave Gannon the lead with a goal in the 31st minute. Layton Bingham (Gold Coast, Australia/The Southport School) sent a cross into the box where Marafioti finished with a shot into the left side of the net for a goal.
- Ludwik scored his second goal of the season and of the game off a Lee Yaw corner kick. He headed the ball past the UPJ goalkeeper for a 3-1 lead into halftime.
- Abdullah Say (Ruesselsheim, Germany/) scored less than two minutes out of the break putting the Knights up 4-1. Say used a header into the left side of the net to score his second goal of the year. Lee Yaw and Ludwik each with an assist on the play.
- James Randall (Brampton, Ontario/Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School) scored his first goal of the year in the 54th minute on a shot inside the box on a pass from Marafioti. The Knights went up 5-1.

GAME NOTES
- Ludwik's two goals vs. UPJ surpasses his career total. He scored his only previous goal last season.
- Randall also scored his first goal of the season with the final goal of the match.
- Marafioti's goal in the 31st winner goes down as the game winner.
- Lee Yaw took a match-high and tied his season-high with seven shots. He tallied an assist on three goals in the match.
- Ludwik finished with all three of his shots on goal. He also finished with an assist.
- Sergio Del Castillo (Madrid, Spain) added three shots, while Randall and Marafioti had two shots.
- Six other Gannon players recorded one shot each in the match.
- Chandler Hallwood (Halifax, England/Woodhouse Grove) made two save and faced nine shots in 74 minutes of play.
