• The Short Story: Gannon rolled up 13 bonus-point wins and put three wrestlers atop the podium in the first tournament action of the season Saturday at the Adrian Open.

• Raine, Dos Santos and Helm each grabbed a pair of bonus-point wins on their way to individual titles. Helm recorded a first-period pin in the 155 final, while Dos Santos and Raine notched big tech falls while going for first place.
• Blarr, Camarillo, Morales Dardon and Devericks all reached the semis at their respective weight classes.
• McGarity bounced back from a loss in her first match to ring up a 10-0 tech in her second match in the round-robin 191 bracket to secure a runner-up finish.
• Devericks and Morales Dardon met in the third-place match at 170.
• Helm and Dos Santos both remained unbeaten on the season, with Helm moving to 6-0 and Dos Santos to 5-0. Raine made her collegiate debut and will start 2-0.
• As a team, the Knights picked up seven pins and six tech falls on the day, giving them bonus points in 13 of their 14 bout wins.

• Gannon goes international next weekend, heading to the McMaster Open in Hamilton, Ontario on Nov. 3.
