The Short Story: The Knights went down a man midway through the first half after a red card, but rallied to score two goals and take the rematch vs. California Saturday afternoon.
Ben Andrews (Saxonburg, Pa./Knoch) scored the game winner in the 42nd minute leading Gannon to its sixth straight win and third consecutive shutout.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Andrews found the back of the net for Gannon just before the halftime break. Tinashe Katsande (Norwich, England/Dereham Sixth Form College) tallied his first assist of the day after sending a cross into the box. Andrews received the pass and sent it back into the middle of the net.
- Katsande recorded his second assist of the match in the 67th minute. He sent another cross past from one end of the goal to the other where Sergio Del Castillo (Madrid, Spain) scored into the bottom of the goal leading Gannon to a 2-0 shutout.
- The Vulcans had a chance to get on the board in the 86th minute with a penalty kick, but Gannon's goalkeeper Chandler Hallwood (Halifax, England/Woodhouse Grove) made a big save in goal to hold on to the shutout.

GAME NOTES
- Gannon's only loss this season came earlier this month at McConnell Family Stadium to the Vulcans. With their 2-0 win Saturday afternoon, the Knights even the season series 1-1.
- The Knights have scored 15 straight goals and have held their opponents scoreless for the last 344:33 minutes over the last four matches.
- This is Gannon's third straight shutout. The last time the Knights posted at least three straight shutouts was last season when they shutout five straight PSAC opponents.
- Hallwood now has six shutouts on the season.
- Gannon led the match in shots (14), shots on goal (10), and corners (5).
- Castillo led the Knights with five shots, while four other players finished with two.
- Ivan Manfredi (Chiavari, Italy/Liceo Scientifico Marconi Delpino), Lennox Crews (Offenbach, Germany/Leibnizschule), Castillo, and Andrews each finished with two shots on goal.
- Matt Yingling took a team-best three shots for Cal U.
- Joseph Valeriano made eight stops in goal for the Vulcans, while Hallwood made two saves for Gannon.
