SATURDAY STORYLINES
  • Edinboro was nearly the fourth undefeated team to face Gannon in the first five weeks of the season. The Fighting Scots, who kicked off the season with three straight wins, saw California (Pa.) bounce back in the fourth quarter last week to snag a 40-35 win.
  • The Fighting Scots have had a knack for causing turnovers, entering the weekend with the top marks in the nation in turnovers gained (22) and turnover margin (+3.0 per game). Gannon has only lost the ball seven times this year, which ranks sixth in the PSAC.
  • Marcus Jones (Painesville, Ohio/Riverside) currently sits at 2,946 career rushing yards, which places the senior third on the all-time list at Gannon. Jones is 310 yards behind second and 388 behind first. His next rushing touchdown will break a tie for most in program history, as he and Jon Richardson (2006-09) both have 35 rushing scores.

UP NEXT
  • Gannon returns to the friendly confines of McConnell Family Stadium next week, hosting Seton Hill for a noon kickoff Oct. 6.
  • The Golden Knights will be celebrating homecoming festivities.
  • Seton Hill is looking for its first win of the season this week, suffering losses by one possession in each of its first two games. The Griffins host Clarion this weekend.
  • Gannon is unbeaten in the all-time series at 5-0.
