SATURDAY STORYLINES
  • The final road trip of the season for Gannon will be its toughest yet. Slippery Rock is on a seven-game winning streak after dropping a tight one at Shippensburg in Week 2, outscoring its opponents 308-146 and winning by at least 15 points in six of those seven games.
  • Gannon started, and will now end, it's 2018 road slate against the two teams who will face off for the PSAC championship next weekend. Both West Chester — Gannon's Week 2 opponent — and the Rock have sewn up divisional titles with a week left to play.
  • SRU's offense has been clicking all season, scoring at least 40 points on five occasions and topping 50 twice. It's 40.8 points per game leads the PSAC and is 11th nationally. The balanced attack is top-three in the conference in both rushing and passing.
  • Saturday's rushing game features two of the most productive backs in Division II, with Gannon's Marcus Jones (Painesville, Ohio/Riverside) and SRU's Wes Hills. Jones is fourth in the nation, averaging 142.4 yards per game, while Hills isn't far behind with 129.4 yards per game, good enough for eighth.

UP NEXT
  • Gannon closes the 2018 season with Senior Day festivities Nov. 10, hosting Lock Haven in the final PSAC crossover.
  • The Bald Eagles are 1-8 on the season heading into another tough matchup Saturday at No. 11 West Chester.
  • The Golden Knights are unbeaten against LHU, going 6-0 against the Bald Eagles and outscoring them 189-41.
  • The two sides haven't met since 2013, a 44-14 win for the Knights.
