SATURDAY STORYLINES
  • Both teams have had their share of frustrating losses this season, with each side suffering three defeats by one touchdown or less this season. Both had that fate last weekend, as Gannon fell 31-24 at Edinboro and Seton Hill dropped a 19-16 decision against Clarion.
  • Marcus Jones (Painesville, Ohio/Riverside) moved into first place in the Gannon record books with his 36th and 37th career rushing touchdowns last week. The senior can reset the record books again, as he is just 255 yards behind first place in career rushing yardage.
  • The Golden Knights and the Griffins bring differing approaches into Saturday's game. Seton Hill is fifth in the PSAC in total offense, but allows 483 yards per game on defense, putting them 14th in the league. Gannon is in the top half of the conference, allowing just 360.8 yards per game, but posts a modest 326.8 yards per game itself.

UP NEXT
  • Gannon begins a tough closing stretch with a road game at California (Pa.) on Oct. 13.
  • The game is set for a 3 p.m. kickoff at Cal's Adamson Stadium.
  • The Vulcans hold a 9-1 edge in the all-time series, and the two teams have met every season since the Golden Knights joined the PSAC.
