The Gannon women's soccer team hosts Indiana (Pa.) Tuesday at McConnell Family Stadium in a PSAC matchup at 2:30 p.m. The Lady Knights are hot off a three-game win streak after collecting wins over West Chester, Mercyhurst and Mansfield in the last two weeks.
Taylor Lewis (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) continues to lead Gannon with 19 points on seven goals and five assists. With even scoring across the board, 10 Lady Knights have recorded at least one goal this season, while six different players have recorded assists. The Lady Knights bring a 7-5-2 overall record and 6-5-2 conference record into the match on Tuesday, including a 3-3-1 mark in matches played at McConnell Family Stadium. Indiana (Pa.)'s Kallie Conte is tied for third among all NCAA Division II players for assist with 10. Mahogany Willis has 22 points on the year, which ranks fourth in the conference.

Gannon looks to close the 2018 regular season on a high note and will get the opportunity to gear up for the upcoming postseason with two home games, beginning Tuesday, October 23 against Ashland at 5:00 p.m. from McConnell Family Stadium. Gannon enters the match at 9-5-1 overall while Ashland boasts a 5-8-2 overall record. The Golden Knights are 5-1 in home games this season and are outscoring their opponents by a 15-3 margin in games played at McConnell Family Stadium.
Hedi Mehnaoui (Paris, France/Lycee Chevrollier) and
Austin Ludwik (Gold Coast, Australia/The Southport School) anchor the Gannon defense, which has not allowed multiple goals in a game since October 6 against East Stroudsburg. Ashland is coming off a 2-0 triumph against Parkside (October 19) and has not lost a game since October 5. The Eagles are paced by Justin Libertowski, who leads the team with eight goals this season.

Gannon begins its closing stretch against the crosstown Lakers Saturday afternoon at McConnell Family Stadium. Both teams had long home games last weekend, with the Golden Knights taking over six hours to complete an agonizingly close loss to No. 22 Indiana (Pa.), and Mercyhurst needing to come back on Sunday to finish a delayed game against California (Pa.). Saturday's Battle for the Niagara Cup is also promotional days from Jimmy John's and Chick-fil-A.

The Gannon women's soccer team plays the final contest of the regular season Saturday night as it hosts Millersville on Senior Night. The game is slated for a 5 p.m. start with the Gannon men's soccer team scheduled to play after. The Marauders bring a conference-best 12-3 overall record and 11-3 conference mark to McConnell Family Stadium on Saturday. Last season, the Lady Knights beat Millersville 3-2 in overtime. Kay Liebl leads the Marauders with 13 goals and seven assists, which is the most points scored by a PSAC player this season. Talia Grynkewicz has 21 points on nine goals and three assists.

Gannon men's soccer wraps up the week with a Saturday night showdown against Millersville on October 27 at 7:30 p.m. The game will cap a Saturday tripleheader at McConnell Family Stadium and will also serve as Senior Night for the Golden Knights.
Sam Thornton (Rotherham, England/Wickersley School and Sports College) is second in the league in goals (10) and leads the league in game-winning goals (6), average goals/game (.909) and shots/game (4.55). The game will pit the second (Gannon) and third (Millersville) place teams in the league standings against each other. The Marauders are 8-3-5 overall and 6-2-2 in league play and lead the conference with 89 points (30G, 29A). Gannon, which sits just one point behind first-place West Chester, still has an outside chance to host the upcoming PSAC Men's Soccer Tournament. The Golden Knights need a win and a West Chester loss or tie in order to clinch the top spot in the league standings.
