SATURDAY STORYLINES
  • Gannon is looking for its first three-game winning streak since starting the 2016 season 3-0. They hold back-to-back double-digit victories over Seton Hill and California (Pa.).
  • Indiana, which reached the national semifinals last season and rose as high as No. 2 in the polls this year, bounced back with a 24-23 victory over Clarion last week to snap a short two-game skid. Those losses came to Slippery Rock and California, the top two teams in the PSAC West standings.
  • Marcus Jones (Painesville, Ohio/Riverside) has rocketed up to fifth in Division II at 141.1 yards per game this season after back-to-back 260-yard games. The senior, who busted the Gannon career rushing mark two games ago, sits 23rd on the PSAC's all-time list.
  • Welcoming IUP to McConnell Family Stadium only adds to the tough schedule the Golden Knights have faced this season. Including the Crimson Hawks, the eight opponents on Gannon's schedule thus far are a combined 33-20, including undefeated and nationally-ranked PSAC crossover opponents West Chester and Kutztown.

UP NEXT
  • Gannon gets to stay at home for a second consecutive week, hosting Mercyhurst Oct. 27 in the Battle for the Niagara Cup.
  • The game is set for a noon kickoff at McConnell Family Stadium, and will be a Jimmy John's Promotional Day.
  • The Lakers hold a 14-6-1 advantage in the all-time series, and are the Golden Knights' most-played opponent.
