ERIE, Pa. - Gannon Volleyball recorded its second victory in as many days with a sweep of the Lock Haven Bald Eagles on Saturday, Sept. 30. Gannon won its third-straight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) contest, 25-20, 25-20, 25-15. A full webcast replay is available

Gannon started the contest with four-straight points, including two
Ally Smith (Penfield, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) service aces. Two
Toni Leitshuh (Manhattan, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) kills aided the Lady Knights in pushing out to an 8-3 lead. The Lady Knights led 20-17 before
Anne-Mari Kaur (Tallinn, Estonia/Tallinn Lillekula Upper Secondary School) pushed the lead to four points on a smash at the back line. Gannon took the set, 25-20.
Ally Smith (Penfield, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) began set two with a block of Lock Haven's Breanna McDonald. Gannon had the early momentum, pushing out to a 16-7 advantage. The Bald Eagles swung back and cut into the Lady Knight lead. Gannon called a timeout leading 18-14. On the other end of the timeout, Leitshuh recorded a kill and gave Gannon a five-point lead. The Lady Knights hung on to the set, 25-20.
Set three began with multiple kills from
Ally Smith (Penfield, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) and Leitshuh. Gannon charged ahead to a 9-7 lead. Lock Haven rallied back to take a 14-13 lead before a Kaur kill spurred a 10-0 Lady Knight run. Gannon took down the Bald Eagles, 25-15.
Ally Smith (Penfield, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) and Leitshuh each recorded double-doubles. Smith finished with 12 kills and 13 digs while Leitshuh registered 12 kills and 14 kills.
Carolyn Knollman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Saint Ursula Academy) led the Lady Knights with 23 assists while
Ashley Beyers (Lanark, Ill./Eastland) chipped in 15.
Gannon improved to 13-3, 3-1 in the PSAC. Lock Haven dropped to 8-8, 1-3 in the conference.
The Lady Knights will return home for a matchup against Indiana (Pa.) on Friday, Oct. 6. The match is slated for a 7 p.m. start. The Lady Knights follow it up with clash against Clarion on Saturday, Oct. 7. The match will begin at 2 p.m.
