ERIE, Pa. – Gannon Volleyball battled every set against East Stroudsburg on Saturday, Oct. 28, but ultimately dropped the match, 3-1, to the visiting Warriors. East Stroudsburg took the match, 25-22, 29-27, 15-25, 26-24.

Before the match senior
Kelsey Ansec (Solon, Ohio/Solon) was honored for her 1,000
th career kill with a game ball. Ansec led the Lady Knights in kills for the sixth-consecutive match. She collected 15 kills and seven digs for GU.
Sara Crandall (Cattaraugus, N.Y./Cattaraugus-Little Valley) paced Gannon with a season-high 33 digs in the match. Gannon registered 108 digs against East Stroudsburg, the most among any conference team in a four-set match this season. Three other Lady Knights came away with double-digit digs, including
Toni Leitshuh (Manhattan, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) (23),
Carolyn Knollman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Saint Ursula Academy) (16) and
Ally Smith (Penfield, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) (14).
Ashley Beyers (Lanark, Ill./Eastland)Â aided the Lady Knights with 27 assists, Knollman chipping in another 18.
Gannon dropped to 21-5 overall and 10-3 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Northwest Division. East Stroudsburg moved to 14-10, 5-8 in the Southeast Division.
The Lady Knights will look to establish a new winning-streak on Friday, Nov. 3, at West Chester (7 p.m.). Gannon will then make the short trip to Cheyney for a match with the Lady Wolves on Saturday, Nov. 4. A new start time has been set for the match. The two teams will square-off at 11 a.m.
