OTHER LINKS
LAST TIME OUT
  • No. 21 Indiana (Pa.) snapped a 55-55 tie with a game-ending 9-2 run and held off Gannon 64-57 last Friday at the Kovalchick Complex. The Golden Knights fell late on the road against a nationally-ranked team for the second consecutive game after dropping a 65-63 decision at No. 10 Wheeling Jesuit before the holiday break.

GANNON (5-5, 3-3 PSAC) STORYLINES
  • Gannon rides a three-game losing streak into Tuesday's contest following setbacks against East Stroudsburg (88-81), No. 10 Wheeling Jesuit (65-63) and No. 21 Indiana (Pa.) (64-57). Those three opponents have a combined record of 27-6.
  • The Golden Knights out-rebounded their first eight opponents, but have been out-rebounded during their last two.
  • Gannon had grabbed at least 11 offensive rebounds during their first nine games, before getting only six at IUP.
  • Junior Zay Jackson (Queens, N.Y./Westside) and senior Matthew Dogan (West Middlesex, Pa./West Middlesex) reached double digits in scoring at Indiana (Pa.) for the ninth and seventh consecutive game, respectively.
  • Gannon dropped its first game after the Life in the Balance break for the fourth consecutive season.
  • The Golden Knights have been tied at halftime three times this season after being so only 17 times during head coach John T. Reilly's first 11 seasons.
  • Gannon dropped to 0-4 this season when scoring less than 70 points compared to 5-1 when reaching the 70-point plateau.
  • The Golden Knights fell to 1-5 during the 2016-17 season in games decided by single digits while being 4-0 in games decided by double digits.
  • Gannon allowed 38 offensive rebounds during its first six games, but has surrendered 56 during its last four.
  • Gannon has a new look on the floor after replacing its top five scorers from a year ago. However, the Golden Knights returned their next five top scorers from last year's squad.
  • Reilly's club returned only 28 percent (454-1,632) of its total scoring from a year ago.
  • Gannon leads the PSAC in offensive rebounds with 13.3 per game.
  • Junior Damon Miraud (Elizabeth, N.J./Elizabeth) ranks fourth among PSAC players in rebounds per game (8.6), fifth in offensive rebounds per game (3.0) and sixth in defensive rebounds per game (5.6).

  • The Golden Knights were predicted to finish fourth in the PSAC Western Division according to the league's preseason coaches poll. The program won back-to-back PSAC Western Division regular-season championships in 2013-14 and 2014-15 while winning its second PSAC Tournament title since joining the league in 2008-09 two years ago.
  • Gannon entered the 2016-17 season 10th among all NCAA Division II programs in all-time winning percentage, beginning the season with a 1,214-689 (63.8 percent) record in 72 seasons. More recently, the Golden Knights were 27th among Division II programs with a .693 winning percentage (203-90) during the 2000s.
  • Reilly entered the 2016-17 season 26th among active NCAA Division II coaches in career victories (423) and 61st in career winning percentage (.611). He became the 30th active NCAA Division II coach to record 400 career wins December 17, 2014 against West Chester. Reilly recorded his 180th victory at Gannon February 21 at California (Pa.), becoming the program's all-time winningest coach.

CALIFORNIA (Pa.) (3-9, 0-6 PSAC) STORYLINES

  • The Vulcans snapped a seven-game losing streak December 17 with a 102-63 victory against Carlow, but are 0-6 in conference action.
