GAMEDAY MEDIA CENTER
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Gannon got on the board first when Lewis stole the ball at midfield, dribbled through the defense and buried a shot for a 1-0 lead in the 34th minute.
  • Slippery Rock answered four minutes and 47 seconds later on Maddy Tletski's goal in the 39th minute.
  • The home squad then produced the goal that arguably swung the momentum completely to the Rock's side. Tletski scored her second goal of the first half with only 16 seconds showing on the clock, sending Slippery Rock into the intermission with a 2-1 lead.
  • Slippery Rock added an insurance goal in the 63rd minute of an evenly-contested second half, accounting for the final 3-1 score.

GAME NOTES
  • The game was almost dead even on the statistical sheet. Slippery Rock produced slight advantages in shots (17-13) and fewest fouls (6-11).
  • Gannon countered with a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.
  • Senior Shannon Differ (Brampton, Ontario /Notre Dame C.S.S.) played all 90 minutes in goal, making two saves.

  • Lewis has scored all four of Gannon's goals during the last three matches.
  • Slippery Rock regained an 11-10 lead in the all-time series.
  • Lewis is the first Lady Knight to score in three consecutive matches since Mani Brueckner (Valencia, Pa./Mars Area) accomplished the feat October 20-27, 2015.
