HOW IT HAPPENED - GAME ONE
  • Gannon scored immediately during its first at-bat. Senior Jared Wiesen (Girard, Ohio/Liberty) led off with a double, moved to third on a sacrifice bunt and scored on a single by redshirt freshman Nate Cardy (Franklin, Pa./Franklin).
  • Limestone tied the contest with a run during its first-inning plate appearance, before sending three Saints across home plate in the second inning.
  • Gannon tallied a single run during the top of the third on singles by Wiesen, redshirt senior Mark DeVita (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) and Cardy.
  • Limestone countered with a run in the fourth, pushing its lead back to three runs at 5-2.
  • Gannon cut the deficit to one with a pair of two-out runs during the top of the fifth inning. After a single and two walks loaded the bases, sophomore Matt Oruch (Blue Bell, Pa./Wissahickon) doubled home a pair of runs. However, the squad eventually stranded the tying run on third and go-ahead run on second.
  • The Golden Knights put a runner on base during each of the last two innings, but neither was able to get past first base.

HOW IT HAPPENED - GAME TWO
  • Much like the first game, Gannon scored right away again. Wiesen led off by reaching on an error and scored two outs later on Cardy's infield single.
  • The Golden Knights doubled their lead during the second inning. Sophomore Kyle Cox (Dorchester, N.J./Millville) drew a lead-off walk, stole second base and scored on redshirt senior Bobby Roach's (Erie, Pa./McDowell) single up the middle.
  • Limestone cut the deficit in half with a single run during its second-inning at-bat, but Gannon immediately responded with a pair of scores during the top of the third. DeVita and senior Chris Beer (Burlington, Ontario/M.M. Robinson) scored on a single by Cardy and sacrifice fly by sophomore Charles Benack (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson).
  • Gannon iced the victory with a single run in the fourth and two runs in the sixth.
