HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Walsh struck first in the 16th minute when Sarah Berger's shot slipped through the goalkeeper's hands and into the net. It eventually turned out to be the Cavaliers' only shot of the match.
  • Gannon answered with a pair of goals during the span of two minutes and 55 seconds late in the first half. Redshirt senior Michelle Genetin (Navarre, Ohio/Perry) tied the score at one with an unassisted tally at the 35:09 mark.
  • Senior Mani Brueckner (Valencia, Pa./Mars Area) pushed the Lady Knights ahead 2:55 later, scoring unassisted off a direct kick from 30 yards out.
  • Gannon added an insurance goal 6:46 into the second half when junior Bethany Perri (Valencia, Pa./Mars Area) drilled home an unassisted score into the upper corner from 40 yards out.

  • The Lady Knights also produced advantages in corner kicks (5-1) and fouls (11-7).
  • Gannon had three unassisted goals in a match for the first time since having four during a 7-1 victory against Indiana (Pa.) on October 28, 2014.
  • Junior Shannon Differ (Brampton, Ontario/Notre Dame C.S.S.) earned the victory in goal.
