The Short Story: The Gannon men's soccer team defeated Daemen (N.Y.) ,3-2, in a non-conference match Tuesday evening at McConnell Family Stadium.

Click HereHOW IT HAPPENED- Gannon got off to a quick start with a goal by sophomore Ted Martin (North East, Pa./Cathedral Prep) who was on the receiving end of a well-placed ball from junior Sergio Kobowane (Johannesburg, South Africa/King Edward VII) and put the ball in the back of the net.
- Redshirt junior Connor Pletz (North East, Pa./Cathedral Prep) extended the Golden Knights lead 2-0 in the seventh minute as he fired the ball in the top left corner.
- Logan Podrebarac pulled Daemen within one off a penalty kick at the 9:12 mark.
- The Golden Knights received a penalty kick of their own in the 33rd minute to take a 3-1 lead going into the half.
- The Wildcats struck back with a goal from Alex Reid, who scored off a rebound from a missed shot by Matt Cordovani at the 51:35 mark. However, Gannon was able to hold off Daemen and get the 3-2 victory.
GAME NOTES- Gannon has won their last two home matches, after starting the season 0-3.
- The Golden Knights outshot the Wildcats 13-7.
