The Short Story: The Gannon women's volleyball team closed out the weekend going undefeated, 3-0, at the Stonehill Skyhawks Invitational in Easton, Mass. The Lady Knights swept Dominican College to open the day in three sets 25-11, 25-20, and 25-19 before defeating Dowling 25-22, 21-25, 23-25, 25-22, and 15-12.

THE BASICS- Gannon jumped out to a 6-3 lead in the first set and never looked back.
- Dominican made a push scoring three consecutive points, 16-9.
- The Lady Knights recorded seven straight points to close out the first set, 25-11
- In the second set, the Chargers took a 6-2 lead tallying four straight points.
- Gannon responded going on a five point run, taking control of the scoreboard 12-9, junior Jordyn Thiery (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley) recorded two aces.
- The Chargers took the lead back 18-17, but not before the Lady Knights went on a 5-0 run taking back the lead, 22-18, Thiery tallied back-to-back service aces.
- Gannon held the lead and went on for the 25-20 victory.
- The Lady Knights took a 5-2 lead before Dominican tied the set at 6.
- Gannon responded going on a 7-4 run to take a 13-10 lead.
- The Chargers pulled within four points, but the Lady Knights went on for the 25-19 victory.
- Junior Hannah Kren (Waukesha, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) recorded a double-double in the victory, 10 kills and 13 digs.
- Thiery led the Lady Knights with eight aces.

THE BASICS- The Lady Knights took a 3-2 lead in the first set, before five ties and another lead by Gannon, 10-7.
- The Golden Lions weren't too far off the heels of the Lady Knights, pulling within one point on several points.
- Gannon closed out the first set going on a 3-1 run and the 25-22 win.
- Trailing 6-4 in the second set, the Lady Knights went on a 4-2 run to tie the set at 8 all.
- The Lady Knights only led, 17-16 off a kill by Thiery from senior Morgan Walters (Girard, Ohio/Girard).
- Dowling closed out the second set on a 9-4 run and the 25-21 victory.
- Gannon jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the third set, but not before Dowling responded scoring seven consecutive points and taking an 8-6 lead.
- Trailing 10-16, the Lady Knights scored five consecutive points to pull within one of the Golden Lions.
- Dowling held on for the 25-23 third set victory.
- Gannon held an 11-5 lead over the Golden Lions in the fourth set.
- The Lady Knights were able to hold on for the victory and forcing a fifth set despite a small 3-0 run by Dowling, 24-22, and the final 25-22.
- Gannon went up 9-4 in the fifth, but not before Dowling responded pulling within three of the Lady Knights, 9-6.
- With the Lady Knights leading 14-8, Dowling scored four consecutive points to make the score 14-10.
- Gannon took the fifth set and the match 15-12.
- Sophomore Kelsey Ansec (Solon, Ohio/Solon) and Kren both recorded 14 digs for Gannon.
- Sophomore Sara Crandall (Cattaraugus, N.Y./Cattaraugus-Little Valley) generated a seson high 36 digs.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE- Gannon finished the Stonehill Skyhawks Invitational with a 3-0 record.
- Beka Smith and Sara Carndall were selected to the Stonehill Skyhawks Invitational All-Tournament Team.
