The Short Story: The Gannon women's volleyball team hit. 316 and only committed 15 errors in the three set sweep of top-seeded Edinboro in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division match. Following the match, the Lady Knights honored their three senior members,
Lynne Hibbard,
Kayla Knickerbocker and
Morgan Walters.

Click HereHOW IT HAPPENED:- Leading 8-5 in the first set, Edinboro went on a 4-0 run taking a 9-8 lead over Gannon.
- The Lady Knights responded with a small run of their own taking a one point lead 10-9.
- The Fighting Scots though went on a 5-1 run taking a 14-11 lead, forcing Gannon to take a timeout.
- The Lady Knights came out of the time out tallying three consecutive points to tie the match 14-14.
- Gannon tied the match again 16-16, before going on a 4-1 run taking a 20-17 lead.
- Edinboro made a small run towards the end of the set, but a service error by Sydney Trathen gave Gannon the 25-22 set and 1-0 lead overall.
- Trailing 5-3 in the second set, the Lady Knights tallied three consecutive points to take 7-6 lead, including back-to-back kills from Kelsey Ansec (Solon, Ohio/Solon).
- Edinboro took back the lead with four straight points, before Gannon called a timeout.
- Gannon would continue to be on the heels of the Fighting Scots, and went on a 3-0 run taking a 15-14 lead, but Edinboro called a timeout.
- Edinboro came out of the timeout recording three consecutive points taking back the lead from Gannon, 17-15.
- The Lady Knights tied the set 17-17 with back-to-back kills from Beka Smith (Churchville, N.Y./Churchville-Chili).
- Edinboro tallied three points taking a 21-18 lead, but Gannon continued to chip away at the Fighting Scots.
- With Edinboro with the advantage, 24-22, the Lady Knights tallied three consecutive points to lead 25-24 with back-to-back errors from Edinboro.
- The Fighting Scots tied the set at 25-25, but with two perfect sets from Morgan Walters (Girard, Ohio/Girard) Smith and Ansec were able to lead Gannon to the 27-25 victory.
- Despite a 4-2 lead by Edinboro in the third set, the Lady Knights recorded seven straight points to take a 9-4 lead on the serve of Lauren Beck.
- The Fighting Scots continued to fight, but would only pull within three of Gannon 12-9.
- With Hannah Kren serving, Gannon recorded four consecutive points taking a 17-10 lead.
- Gannon only continued to build upon their lead, and closed the third set, 25-17 and swept Edinboro in straight sets.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:- Senior Lynne Hibbard is ranked ninth for Gannon's all-time block assists with 255 in her four years. Hibbard is also ranked third all-time in total blocks with 289 blocks through 328 sets played.
- Hannah Kren is now 23 kills away from breaking into the top-10 for single-season kills. She currently has 393 kills on the season. She is ranked 10th all-time in career with kills with 1,213 kills through her three years of action.
