The Short Story: The Gannon women's soccer team held off Clarion 2-1 Wednesday night in Clarion, Pa. The Lady Knights remained undefeated at 11-0 and 10- in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) with the victory.

Click HereHOW IT HAPPENED- Gannon wasted no time getting on the board, as senior Sammy Valloud (Erie, Pa./McDowell) found the back of the net in the first minute of action.
- The Lady Knights held on for the 1-0 lead going into the half as Clarion was only able to get two shots on goal in the first half.
- Clarion opened the second half with a goal from Alissa Spencer, as she tied the match at 1-1 the 52nd minute mark.
- Gannon wasted no time responding to the Bald Eagles goal in the 61st minute. After two attempts from Ally Sharpe (Holley, N.Y. / Brockport) and Kaitlyn Kissell (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) it would be Valloud who lifted the tie, recording her second goal of the match, taking a pass from Kissell and finding the back of the net and taking the 2-1 advantage.
- Clarions had three other opportunities to tie the game back up but were unable to capitalize as Gannon secured a 2-1 victory.
GAME NOTES- Gannon is ranked No. 1 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Top 25 Polls, the ranking is the first in the program's 29-year history. The Lady Knights have been tabbed No. 1 in the last four NSCAA Atlantic regional rankings.
