HOW IT HAPPENED

• Mercyhurst took a 1-0 lead 3:25 into the match as Michael Diriezno received a pass from Joseph Korb and put it past Gannon goalie Jorge Hernandez (Atvidaberg,Ostergotland (Sweden)/Bildningscentrum Facetten).
• The Lakers would take a 2-0 over the Golden Knights going into the half.
• Mercyhurst remained in control of the scoreboard in the second half, tallying two more goals and going on for the 4-0 victory.
• Mercyhurst outshot Gannon 13-7, though the Golden Knights recorded seven corner kicks in the match.
• Alejandro Ferrero (Caspe, Spain/I.E.S. Mar de Aragon) and Jason Fox (Southport, Australia/The Southport School) lead Gannon with two shots each.
• Hernandez tallied four saves in between the pipes for Gannon.
