  • Series Notes: Gannon dropped a 27-0 decision at Southern Connecticut State during the only meeting ever between the two programs in 1999. Rashann Dumas scored all four touchdowns on the ground. The Owls out-gained the Golden Knights 469-189, including a 171-12 advantage through the air. Gannon eventually concluded the 1999 campaign with a 1-9 record.

  • Gannon is 14-12-1 all-time in season openers, including a 7-3 mark during the last 10 seasons. The Golden Knights are 12-14-1 all-time in home openers.
  • Head coach Brad Rzyczycki's club has battled GLIAC member Lake Erie during the last six season openers, but the Storm will immediately open conference play this season against Ashland in week one. Gannon will return a home-and-home agreement with Southern Connecticut State with a trip to New Haven, Connecticut in 2015.
  • Gannon's last outing against a Northeast-10 program resulted in a 35-15 road victory at Bryant (R.I.) in the 2003 regular-season finale. The Golden Knights have won their last three games against Northeast-10 teams dating back to 2000.

  • Gannon hits the road for the first time Saturday, September 13 with a trip to PSAC Eastern Division foe Cheyney. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m. The contest represents the first PSAC crossover to count in the football standings. All crossovers and divisional games will count in the league standings this season. The Knights are 2-0 all-time against the Wolves, owning a 70-27 scoring edge in those two games.
