  • Last Meeting: September 28, 2013 - Gannon 45, at Clarion 25
  • Series Notes: Gannon snapped a four-game losing streak against Clarion with a convincing 45-25 victory last season on the Golden Eagles' home field. However, Clarion still leads the all-time series 4-2. Gannon's previous win in the series came during the first-ever meeting between the two programs  in 2008. The Golden Knights posted a 31-24 victory at Gannon University Field during the first encounter.

  • Gannon improved to 3-0 for the first time since 1994 with a 37-28 victory against Kutztown last Saturday. The Golden Knights have never won their first four games in the modern era. Only the 1949 squad has won its first four games en route to a perfect 8-0 mark.
  • Head coach Brad Rzyczycki's club leads the PSAC in rushing defense (40.3), scoring defense (11.7), time of possession (33:13), total defense (227.3) and first downs defense (35).
  • Gannon is one of four teams remaining in the PSAC and 36 in NCAA Division II without a blemish on its schedule.
  • Junior Brock Jones leads the PSAC and ranks seventh nationally in rushing touchdowns (6). He sits eighth nationally in rushing yards per game (146.0)..

UP NEXT
  • Gannon concludes its only two-game road swing of the season Saturday, October 4 at Slippery Rock. The PSAC Western Division showdown is scheduled for 6 p.m. Both teams enter week four undefeated with perfect 3-0 records. Gannon has won four of the last five meetings in the all-time series, assuming a 6-3 edge in the all-time series.
  • Gannon finally returns home Saturday, October 11 to host rival Mercyhurst during Homecoming Weekend. Game time at Gannon University Field is scheduled for 12 noon. The Golden Knights have dropped the last two games during the rivalry series.
