The Short Story: The No. 17 Gannon women's soccer team returned to the win column on Saturday afternoon with a 4-0 win over visiting Lock Haven. The Lady Knights dominated offensively, registering a 17-3 shot advantage against the Lady Eagles. Junior
Sammy Valloud (Erie, Pa./McDowell) led the Lady Knights' attack with a pair of first-half goals. Sophomore goalkeeper
Shannon Differ (Brampton, Ontario / Notre Dame C.S.S.) recorded her second shutout of the season with three saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED- Valloud scored two goals in the first half to give the Gannon Lady Knights a 2-0 lead at the break. Valloud's first goal of the game and second of the season came in the 30th minute of play on a breakaway from 30 yards out. The junior dribbled in on Lock Haven goalkeeper Michelle Cuomo before firing the shot into the left side of the net for a 1-0 Lady Knights' lead.

Mani Brueckner (Valencia, Pa./Mars Area), junior
Kaitlyn Kissell (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) found Vallud on a redirect, who buried on the left side once again to extend the Lady Knights' lead to 2-0.
- Brueckner scored her first goal of the season in the 85th minute on a solo effort. The junior stripped a Lady Eagles' player of the ball leading to a breakaway against Cuomo. Brueckner buried the shot on the right side for a 3-0 Lady Knights' advantage.

Courtney Edwards closed out the Lady Knights' scoring in the 87th minute with her first goal of the season and first as a Lady Knight. Senior

GAME NOTES- Differ collected her second shutout of the season, recording three saves on the day. The Lady Eagles' Cuomo pulled in eight saves despite allowing four tallies.
- The Lady Knights dominated offensively on a 17-3 shot advantage. After opening the day with seven shots, the Lady Knights poured on 10 shots in the second.
- Valloud led the Lady Knights with six shots, converting two of her four shots on goal. Four Lady Knights compiled two shots including Kissell, Brueckner, Edwards and junior

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE- The Lady Knights improved to 8-6-3 in the all-time series. Since joining the PSAC, the Lady Knights are unbeaten against the Lady Eagles with a 5-0-2 record, recording shutout victories in two of the last three matchups. Prior to becoming conference opponents the last time the two teams met was on Sept. 9, 2003.
- The Lady Knights are currently ranked 17th in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire NCAA Division II National Rankings after opening the regular season undefeated. The rankings were the first released this season.
