The Short Story: The No. 25 Gannon women's basketball team dropped a 74-51 loss to host Indiana (Pa.) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action Saturday at the Kovalchick Complex. The Lady Knights were unable to overcome their shooting woes, which allowed the conference's top-defensive team to seal the win. The loss marked the first for the Lady Knights in conference action this season. The Crimson Hawks remain undefeated at 7-0 overall and 3-0 in league play.
HOW IT HAPPENED- Gannon held an 8-7 advantage under five minutes into the game before Indiana (Pa.) recaptured its early lead off back-to-back threes from Leslie Stapleton and Marita Mathe with 15:23 left in the opening half.
- The Lady Knights pulled to within one of the Crimson Hawks, 16-15, following a three from Sebald. A layup by sophomore
Brianna Brennan Woodhaven, Mich./Woodhaven) handed the Lady Knights' their first lead since the opening of the contest at the 8:59-mark. After missing the first six games of the season, Brennan jumped right in with a defensive board and the layup in her first minute of action.
- The Crimson Hawks erupted for a 14-2 run in just under a six-minute span to take a 30-19 lead with 6:04 remaining in the opening half.
- Trailing 37-24, redshirt-sophomore
Lanise Saunders (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) scored the final three points of the half to head into the break facing a 37-27 deficit.
- To open the half, the Lady Knights pulled the Crimson Hawks' lead to single-digits off a visit to the foul line. IUP leading-scorer Lindsay Stamp struck with a three pointer to push the Crimson Hawks' lead back to double figures, 40-29, just 1:31 into the half.
- The Lady Knights went on a 7-2 run to come within 11 of the Crimson Hawks' 53-42 lead with 10:09 left in regulation following a layup by Blake. The Crimson Hawks answered with a 17-5 run to take their biggest lead of 23 points capped by a three by Stamp. To seal the win, the Crimson Hawks' Stoner and Zhane Brooks each converted on their visits to the charity stripe to earn the 74-51 win to upset the Lady Knights.
GAME NOTES- Sebald led Gannon with 11 points and collected three rebounds in 22 minutes of action.

Nettie Blake (Jersey City, N.J./Marist) finished with a game-high 14 rebounds and added nine points.
- Junior
Morgan Neighbors (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville South) scored eight points with three boards, three assists and a steal.
- Saunders tied a career-high eight rebounds in 10 minutes. She also netted five points.
- Appearing in her first game this season, Brennan logged 18 minutes off the bench. The sophomore scored two points and registered three rebounds.
- In the game, the Lady Knights shot a season-low 26.5-percent (18-68) from the field and 19-percent (4-21) from beyond the arc. The Lady Knights opened the game shooting 27.8-percent (10-36) from the floor before slipping to 25-percent (8-32). The Crimson Hawks converted 50-percent (27-54) of their shots. From the long range, IUP connected on 37.5-percent (9-24).
- On the glass, the Lady Knights held a 47-34 advantage.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE- Indiana (Pa.) took a 16-15 lead in the all-time series against Indiana (Pa.). The Crimson Hawks snapped their five-game unbeaten streak against the Lady Knights, who previously swept the last two regular-season series.
- The Lady Knights moved to 10-7 against the Crimson Hawks since joining the conference in the 2008-09 season.

Amanda Berchtold (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) pulled down four rebounds to bring her career total to 101.
- Neighbors eclipsed 1,000-career minutes establishing her new total to 1,022. The junior only needs seven boards to compile 100 in her career.
- The Lady Knights are ranked 25th in the latest
USA Today Sports NCAA Division II Top 25 Poll. The Crimson Hawks are receiving votes in the national poll.
- The Crimson Hawks entered the game as the PSAC's top-defensive team and third-best offense.
