SATURDAY STORYLINES
  • Gannon enters the weekend in a three-way tie for first place in the PSAC Western Division with California (Pa.) and Slippery Rock. The Golden Knights can clinch the top seed and move into the state title game with a victory against Indiana (Pa.) combined with a Slippery Rock loss at Clarion. Slippery Rock wins the tiebreaker against Gannon based on its head-to-head victory. Cal wins a three-way tie based on the second tiebreaker which is won-loss records within the PSAC West.
  • Head coach Brad Rzyczycki's club has won seven games for the first time since the 2003 squad finished 9-1.
  • Gannon needs 45 points to break the program's all-time scoring record of 361 set last season. The Golden Knights are third nationally in third-down conversions.

UP NEXT
  • Gannon will either conclude the regular-season schedule or host the PSAC Title Game on Saturday, November 15. With a victory against IUP combined with a Slippery Rock loss at Clarion, the Golden Knights would host Bloomsburg with the PSAC title on the line. Otherwise, Gannon will host East Stroudsburg during the regular-season finale. Game time under both scenarios is scheduled for 12 noon.
  • Gannon will wait and see about a possible NCAA Division II Tournament bid following the November 15 contest. The NCAA Division II Selection Show is scheduled for Sunday, November 16 at 5 p.m.
