Mani Brueckner (Valencia, Pa. / Mars Area) of the Gannon women's soccer team landed on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) First Team for the third consecutive season, as announced by the conference office Wednesday afternoon. Senior
Justine Rodrigues (Georgetown Ontario / Georgetown District) and sophomore
Olivia Augustyniak (Erie, Pa. / Mercyhurst Prep) each were selected to the conference's second team.
Brueckner led the Lady Knights in assists (9), points (25) and game-winning goals (4) this season. She leads the PSAC in points per match (1.59) and ranks second in assists and assists per match (0.65), and third in game-winning goals. She is sixth among all NCAA Division II players in total assists, ninth in assists per game, 32nd in game-winning goals and 47th in total points.
The three-year starter finished the season with 32 career assists. Brueckner sits third all-time at Gannon in career points (86) and career goals (27). She has produced figures worthy of Gannon's all-time single-season top 10 this year in assists (3rd), points (10th) and goals (14th).
Rodrigues led Gannon with nine goals this season, five of them coming in the last two games. This season, Rodrigues set career season-highs in goals (9), points (19), shots (56) and shots on goal (26). Among the PSAC leaders, Rodrigues is second in total goals and third in goals per game (0.529).
Starting all 74 matches the last four seasons, the Georgetown, Ontario, native finished her career with 20 goals, nine assists and 49 points. She finished her career tied for seventh on the school's all-time points list. The senior finished tied for fifth in career goals on the program's all-time list and second in game-winning goals. She received her first all-conference honor last season, earning third-team honors.
Augustyniak earned her first all-conference honor in her first season with the Lady Knights. The sophomore started all 17 matches she appeared in, registering two points off her first career tally against East Stroudsburg Sept. 19.
Gannon concluded the 2014 campaign with a 9-9 overall record. In the regular season, the Lady Knights posted a 9-7 record in conference action, winning four of their final five matches to secure their fourth consecutive berth to the conference tournament.
