The Short Story: The Gannon women's soccer team snapped a three-game skid with a 1-0 win over Seton Hill Tuesday evening at Gannon University Field. Out-shooting the visiting Griffins, the Lady Knights dominated the first half with an 8-1 shot advantage. Junior
Mani Brueckner (Valencia, Pa./Mars Area) scored the lone goal of the match to give the Lady Knights the lead in the 15th minute and eventual victory. Freshman
Danitza Indacochea (Maple, Ontario / St. Joan of Arc) secured her first career shutout as she clinched her first victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED- The Gannon Lady Knights dominated play throughout the entire first half. Beyond out-shooting the Griffins, 8-1, in the first half, the Lady Knights held the visitors to zero shots through the opening 30 minutes of the match.
- Brueckner scored her fifth goal of the season in the 15th minute to give the Lady Knights a 1-0 lead. On an unassisted effort, Brueckner fired a shot from 40 yards out as it sailed in for the Lady Knights' lead.
- The Lady Knights held the Griffins to zero shots in the opening 24 minutes of the second half. Leading scorer Megan Warman registered two shots in the final three minutes of play, as her one attempt was blocked by a Lady Knights' defender.
GAME NOTES- Indacochea was not called on to make any stops, as the Griffins were unable to generate any shots on goal.
- Seton Hill goalkeeper Carolin Edenhofner collected five saves on the evening.
- The Lady Knights were whistled on five offsides compared to the Griffins' lone call.
- Brueckner led the Lady Knights' offense with four shots and two on goal. Senior

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE- This evening's win moves the Lady Knights into a tie for eighth with Millersville in the PSAC Standings. Both teams have earned 18 points. Prior to the match, the Lady Knights led the Griffins by only point in the standings.
- In the all-time series against the Griffins, the Lady Knights improved to 5-1-1.
- The two squads have squared off in back-to-back seasons after not competing against one another since the 1997 season. The Lady Knights have won the last five meetings.
- The Lady Knights held their opponent to zero shots on goal for the first time since their 1-0 win over No. 15 Slippery Rock in the 2013 PSAC Tournament quarterfinals Nov. 5.
