ERIE, Pa. – The Gannon football team concludes the 2012 regular season Saturday, November 10 against LIU Post at Gannon University Field. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover game is scheduled for 12 noon.

Tickets cost $5 for adults and $3 for non-Gannon students and senior citizens. All Gannon students, staff and faculty are admitted free of charge by showing their school ID at the gate.

Gannon moved to 2-8 overall and 1-6 in the PSAC Western Division with a tough 38-35 loss against No. 14 Indiana (Pa.) last weekend at home. The contest featured six lead changes in the second half. Abraham Ocasio's second touchdown of the day with 7:43 remaining gave the Golden Knights a 35-31 lead. But IUP scored on a fourth-and-one play with 3:16 to play to escape with a three-point victory.

Eleven seniors will be playing in the last game of their collegiate careers Saturday. All 11 have seen considerable playing time and every senior has started games at some point of their careers. Gannon will be looking for its first victory in a regular-season finale since a 10-7 overtime win at nationally-ranked Bloomsburg in 2009. The verdict knocked the Huskies out of the playoffs that season.

Several school records could fall during Saturday's action. Redshirt freshman Liam Nadler enters the game with 2,575 passing yards and 17 touchdowns. The current school record for passing yards is 2,639 set in 2004 and the touchdown mark is 20 set in 2003. Darmel Whitfield owns both of those records.

Abraham Ocasio now holds Gannon's big three single-season receiving records. The sophomore has 60 catches for 886 yards and 10 scores.

Senior Will Giles and sophomore Mike Phillips need 12 tackles each to reach 100 for the season.

LIU Post makes the longest possible trip by a PSAC team to Gannon University Field this weekend. Located in Brookville, N.Y., the Pioneers have to travel 459 miles for Saturday's contest.

The last two weeks have been trying for the LIU Post community due to Hurricane Sandy. Many athletics events were either postponed or cancelled due to the storm, including the postponement of last week's football game at Kutztown. That contest has been rescheduled for Saturday, November 17. The campus didn't have power restored until earlier this week.

On the field, LIU Post has taken a step back after a fabulous 2011 campaign saw the Pioneers almost qualify for the PSAC title game with a 6-1 conference record. The squad enters Saturday's action with a 3-5 overall record and a 2-4 PSAC Eastern Division mark.

LIU Post is the nation's best when it comes to turnovers. The Pioneers lead all NCAA Division II schools with a 2.00 turnover margin. Quarterback Steven Laurino has thrown only one interception in 242 attempts. He has connected on 14 touchdowns passes. LIU Post has also lost only four fumbles.

Gannon has never defeated LIU Post in three all-time meetings. The Pioneers captured a 33-15 home victory during last year's regular-season finale. Gannon has hosted LIU Post only once before at Erie Veterans Memorial Stadium in 1992. The Pioneers escaped with a 21-14 victory. LIU Post also secured a 55-14 home win during the only other encounter in 1993.
