Gannon Football Team Looks to Clinch Winning Season Saturday Afternoon Against Clarion at Home

A victory against Clarion clinches a second consecutive winning season for the Golden Knights.
The Gannon football team, ranked eighth in the latest Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Lambert Meadowlands Division II Poll, concludes a two-game homestand Saturday, October 30 against Clarion at Gannon University Field. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m. Gates and ticket windows will open at 12 noon.

Gannon has won seven of its last 10 home games and can clinch back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 1995 with a victory. Tickets cost $5 for adults and $3 for non-Gannon students and senior citizens. All Gannon students are admitted free of charge by showing their school ID at the gate.

Clarion and Gannon have split two all-time meetings. Both came after Gannon joined the PSAC in 2008. The Golden Knights drew first blood with a 31-24 home victory in 2008, but the Golden Eagles got revenge last season with a 42-21 home victory of their own.

Saturday's contest can be heard live on Jet Radio 1400. Live gameday audio can be found online at http://www.wergfm.com.
