The Gannon football team kicks off the 2009 campaign Thursday, August 27 against Lake Erie at Gannon University Field. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. It will be Gannon's first Thursday night home game since a 35-26 victory against rival Mercyhurst in 2005.
