Ebel was a double-winner for the Gannon men's swimming and diving team last Friday against NCAA Division I Canisius. The sophomore captured the 1,000-yard freestyle with a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying time of nine minutes and 58.2 seconds. It was his third 1,000-yard freestyle gold medal this season while also recording his season-best time. Ebel has met PSAC-qualifying standards during all five times he has swam the event this season. He also touched the wall first in the 500-yard freestyle while meeting conference standards with a time of four minutes and 48.95 seconds, equaling his second-best time of the campaign.
