Kottakis was part of five gold medals during a pair of meets against Shippensburg and John Carroll last week. The freshman began the week as a double-winner against Shippensburg, touching the wall first in the 100-yard freestyle with a PSAC-qualifying time time of 54.76 seconds. She also swam the third leg for the winning 400-yard freestyle relay team which posted a 3:41.53 time. Kottakis added a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a PSAC-qualifying time of 25.24 seconds. She concluded the week as a triple-winner during a 145-139 victory at John Carroll. Kottakis touched the wall first in the 100-yard freestyle (56.06) and 200-yard freestyle (2:01.81) while securing a silver medal in the 50-yard freestyle (25.71). The meet ended with Kottakis swimming the third leg again for another winning relay team, but this time in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:42.81). She has meet PSAC-qualifying standards during every time she has swam the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle or 200-yard freestyle this season.
