de Bonis Encinoso almost single-handily guided the Gannon men's soccer team to a 4-2 victory last Saturday at No. 21 Millersville, enabling the Golden Knights to secure a PSAC Tournament quarterfinal bye and straight path into the conference semifinals. The junior midfielder scored Gannon's first three goals, including the first score only 2:29 into the contest. He followed with another score in the ninth minute for a 2-0 lead. After Millersville cut the deficit in half, de Bonis Encinoso tallied his third goal in the 24th minute to push the Gannon lead to 3-1. The hat trick was the first of his career. de Bonis Encinoso entered the contest with four goals in 16 matches this season and six during his two-year career. He enters the postseason as Gannon's second-leading scorer with seven goals and 15 points.
